Q. Is colon therapy embarrassing?

After the gentile insertion of a small tube into the rectum, tubing carries water in and out in a gently pressurized system with no mess, no fuss, no odor, and is in fact, a very relaxing experience for most people.  You are complete covered during the entire procedure, resting comfortably on the table.

Q. Is the procedure painful?

Rarely.  Sometimes during the procedure the muscles of the colon suddenly, expelling considerable fluid and waste into the rectum.  The contraction may feel like cramping or gas with pressure in the rectum.  Most of the process is mild and gentle with a wonderfully light and empty feeling afterwards.

Q. Could the colon stop function on its own and become dependent on colonics?

No. Actually, on of the good features is that it can tone the the colon muscles so it doesn’t perform sluggishly.  In addition to relief of the symptoms, many people report an inner feeling of well-being, heightened energy levels and renewed vitality.

Q. What about the use of laxatives?

Laxatives aggravate the problem of constipation by interfering with the colon’s ability to eliminate normally on its own.  The chemicals contained in laxatives irritate and stimulate the colon to abnormally contract to expel the irritating substances.  In addition, the oral administration interferes with very important digestive processes occurring in the stomach and small intestine.  Most laxatives and purgatives precipitate dehydration in the individual.  Standard enemas only cleanse the rectum and last portion of the colon, missing most of the large intestine.

Q. Will one cleansing completely empty the colon?

Almost never.  Many of us have ten to twenty-five pounds of impacted feces in our colon.  This is gardened, rubbery material and substantial work must be done to remove it.  One cleansing removes some, the second removes more.  Your personal objectives will determine ho many you wish to have.  An initial series of between three to six treatments is recommended.  Years of improper nutrition cannot possibly be reversed in a few treatments. More treatments may be required in cases of chronic constipations or the atonic (sluggish) colon condition.  Following the initial program, it is advisable to have a series of three treatments every three to six months to maintain colon health.

Q. Can colon therapy wash away all bacterial, even the good?

The helpful bacteria can only live in an alkaline environment whereas the harmful ones thrive in an acid environment.  Most people, due to years of improper eating, lack of exercise and poor elimination, have an acid colon.  The great benefit of the cleansing program is to change the environment from acid to alkaline.
